Ethics/Professionalism & Civility
Married Lawyers, Related Lawyers, ... plus Ethics Rules Relating To Sex, Lies, And Clients 2 Utah Ethics Credits

This 2-hour program is included in the 4.3-hour compilation course entitled Legal Ethics Roundup (NLF course #549, available in some states). You will earn CLE credit by completing EITHER the combo program listed below OR that compilation. You may not earn CLE credit for BOTH this program and the 4.3-hour compilation.

Increasingly, many legal matters involve lawyers who are married, lawyers who are related, or lawyers who are significant others. Additionally, sexual relationships with clients often present additional ethics issues. In this useful June 26, 2019 2-hour presentation (two 1-hour sections), Patrick M. Connors, Esquire explains how to correctly honor the ethical rules governing conflicts and confidentiality in these situations.

Mr. Connors is a Professor of Law at Albany Law School where he teaches, inter alia, Legal Ethics. He is also a member of the New York State Bar Association's Committee on Professional Ethics and a highly-respected speaker, author, frequent expert witness, and consultant on legal ethics.
