Online criticism of lawyers: should attorneys respond to disparagement or "bad reviews" and, if so, how may they do so?

In this 1-hour (60 minutes) program recorded January 3, 2022, Patrick M. Connors, Esquire gives a practical explanation of the legal ethics rules governing this significant topic. Throughout his presentation, Mr. Connors includes discussion of many helpful Ethics Opinions, Comments, Guidelines and cases. These include the important ABA Formal Opinion 496.

Mr. Connors is the Albert and Angela Farone Distinguished Professor In New York Civil Practice at Albany Law School, where he teaches, inter alia, Legal Ethics. He is also a member of the New York State Bar Association's Committee on Professional Ethics and a highly-respected speaker, author, frequent expert witness, and consultant on attorney ethics.
