Enabling Flash Player in Most Popular Browsers

chrome iconHow to Enable Flash in Google Chrome:

1. Launch the course and identify that the "Play/Pause" button is now a puzzle piece.

2. Click the lock icon lock icon in the website address bar at the top left. From the dropdown that appears, select Site Settings.

3. From the menu that appears, next to Flash, select Allow.

4. Close the Settings window. You may need to reload the page with Flash content that you were trying to access.

5. Go back to the course on NLFonline.com and the puzzle piece will still appear in the "Play/Pause" box.

6. Right click your mouse on the puzzle piece and it will either ask you to allow it or enable it.


You can now do this last step anytime you need to start the audio. You only need to change the settings the first time. Going forward, just right click on the puzzle piece and allow Flash to play.


edge iconHow to Enable Flash in Microsoft Edge:

1. Launch the course and identify that the "Play/Pause" button is not functioning or not visible.

2. Select the information icon, small 'i' in a circle information circle icon, next to the website's address in the address bar to bring up the drop-down and click on Allow Adobe Flash.

3. Under Website Permissions, ensure the slider for Adobe Flash is moved to the On position as shown.

4. Close the Settings window. You may need to reload the page with Flash content that you were trying to access.

5. Go back to the course on NLFonline.com and begin your course.


ie iconHow to Enable Flash in Microsoft Internet Explorer:

1. Launch the course and identify that the "Play/Pause" button is not functioning or not visible.

2. Select the Settings cog light gray outline gear at the top right-hand side of the window and select Manage add-ons from the menu that appears.

3. Make sure Show: on the lower-left hand side has All add-ons selected and highlight Shockwave Flash Player in the list. Then click Enabled to enable it.

4. Select Close in the bottom right to return to the webpage, and reload it if necessary. Flash should now be working!

5. Go back to the course on NLFonline.com and begin your course.



firefox iconHow to Enable Flash in Mozilla Firefox:

1. Launch the course and identify that the "Play/Pause" button is not functioning or not visible.

2. Look in address bar for the new add-on icon of a browser window with a blue dot on the top right add on icon that appears next to our web address in the address bar.

3. Click that icon to open the menu.

4.Select the checkbox next to Remember this decision if you want to continue to allow Flash to run on this site in the future. Then click Allow.

5. Now attempt to play your course on NLFonline.com.

1. Launch the course and identify that the "Play/Pause" button is not functioning or not visible.

2. From the menu bar, choose Safari and then Preferences.

3. Select the Websites tab and then underneath Plug-ins, ensure that the box next to Adobe Flash Player is selected.

4. Once selected you will see a list of websites. Choose our website (nlfonline.com) that you want to enable Flash for in the list and change the drop-down to On.

5. Close the window and return to the page you were previously on. Reload the webpage if necessary.

6. Now attempt to play your course on NLFonline.com.

1. In the address bar, type or copy/paste this address to access your content: chrome://settings/content.

2. Select "Content Settings". If you do not see "Content Settings", look for "Flash".

3. Click the "Flash" settings from the list of Content Settings.

4. Enable the switch for "Ask First". If you have an older version of Chrome, you may need to click the option "Allow sites to run Flash" and click "Done". You have flash on now. Restart chrome.
